Kyohei Shindo is a young, talented blacksmith from the Tosa region who has quickly gained recognition in the world of Japanese knife craftsmanship. Originally from Hokkaido, he studied at the University of Okinawa, but his passion for craftsmanship led him to dedicate himself to blacksmithing. After eight years of apprenticeship in master workshops in Tosa, he opened his own forge in 2020, where he creates unique knives that combine the tradition of Japanese blacksmithing with a modern approach to design and technology.
Kyohei Shindo’s knives are distinguished by their precisely forged blades, which ensure excellent sharpness and exceptional durability. The blacksmith often uses traditional layered forging techniques, giving his knives unique patterns and excellent cutting properties.
