Shapton Glass HR 320 Ceramic sharpening stone

The coarse-grained Shapton Glass HR #320 stone has one of the lowest grits available in this series. The stone with a grit of #320 allows for the repair of damaged knives, as well as chips or broken tips. It is also useful for quick steel removal. The size of the abrasive particles in this case is 45.94 microns.

The recommended Shapton brand ceramic stones from the Glass HR series are currently one of the best and at the same time hardest sharpening stones. They wear out very slowly and do not require frequent leveling like stones from other companies. The Glass HR series includes the most advanced stones that the Shapton manufacturer presents to us. They work great with hard steels such as ZDP-189 and R2.

A unique feature of the Shapton Glass HR sharpening stones is the so-called “Splash and Go”. This means that – unlike most competitive stones – they do not absorb water at all. Thanks to this, they are always ready to work, and before use, just moisten them with water.

The recommended Shapton Glass HR stones provide very fast work, i.e. they quickly collect steel and sharpen in an extremely effective way. During the production process of the presented ceramic stones, they gain very high hardness. They remain in great condition for a long period, so they do not need to be leveled. On the bottom, each of the stones has a marked grit and the size of the abrasive particles given in microns. The white ceramic part of the sharpening stone is glued from the bottom with 5-millimeter thick glass. It serves as a base, thanks to which you can use the entire thickness of the stone, without the risk of breaking the stone.

Shapton Glass HR stones are recommended for the most demanding people. Despite their small thickness, they are much more durable than other stones.
