Shapton Kuromaku Pro 5000 Ceramic stone

The Shapton Kuromaku Professional stone with a grit of #5000 is used for finishing and polishing the cutting edge. It is also suitable for removing the so-called wire. By using the presented #5000 stone after regular sharpening, you can achieve extraordinary sharpness. The unique series of Shapton Kuromaku Professional water stones consists of one of the hardest and best sharpening stones. They wear out very slowly and do not need to be leveled as often as other stones from competitive companies. They can be used with hard steels such as ZDP-189 or R2. “Splash and Go” means that Kuromaku stones do not absorb water as most other stones do. Thanks to this property, you do not need to soak them before use – just moisten them to make them ready to work. At the same time, before the first use, it is worth soaking the stone in water for about 5 minutes to enjoy its best parameters. An advantage of every Kuromaku Professional stone that cannot be left unmentioned is the extraordinary speed of steel collection and sharpening. Carefully selected ceramic and abrasive materials affect the great parameters, including the fact that the stones do not require leveling for a long time. Each of the water stones from this series is packed in a functional box. It also works as a stand for the stone during sharpening.
