Suehiro 1000/3000 Double-Sided Whetstone CR-3800 is a versatile Japanese water stone designed for complete kitchen knife maintenance, from edge restoration to initial finishing. The combination of #1000 / #3000 grits allows for an efficient sharpening progression: the 1000 grit side is used for sharpening and edge correction, while the 3000 grit side refines and lightly polishes the edge.

The stone is made from high-quality ceramic abrasive with white aluminum oxide, providing consistent, predictable cutting action and good control during sharpening. The abrasive responds quickly to the blade and produces slurry that supports efficient material removal and improves sharpening feel. The different thicknesses of each side are designed to ensure balanced wear over time.

The CR-3800 is supplied as a complete sharpening set, ready for immediate use. It includes a Nagura stone for slurry generation and a stable stone holder, which improves safety and comfort during sharpening. As a traditional water stone, it is intended to be soaked before use.
