The Suehiro Cerax 320 is an exceptionally effective ceramic stone that quickly removes steel. Although this is not a standard for this grit, sharpening on the Cerax 320 stone is very pleasant and easy (with good feedback). We especially recommend this stone for repairing chipped knives, broken tips, or creating a new cutting edge. Sharpening can be continued on a Cerax 1000 stone. Suehiro stones from the Cerax series are currently some of the best sharpening stones on the market. Cerax stones are medium-hard stones; they require a short, 5-10 minute soak before sharpening. Thanks to the high concentration of abrasive material, they are perfect for sharpening knives even from hard powdered steels, such as ZDP-189 or R2. The stone is sold as a set with a Nagura – a small, harder stone for cleaning – and a rubber base that stabilizes the stone during sharpening. Suehiro is a renowned Japanese manufacturer of sharpening stones from the Niigata province in Japan. Suehiro has been producing its stones for over 50 years, maintaining the highest level of quality. Suehiro sharpening stones are made from the best materials and adhere to the highest quality standards – a stone bought 20 years ago will have the same properties as a new one.
