The Takamura Gyuto kitchen knife with a blade length of 180 mm is the Japanese equivalent of a classic chef’s knife. It is suitable for a variety of kitchen tasks.
The collection of Japanese Takamura R2 knives contains high-quality kitchen knives, appreciated by many users. The core of these knives is made of R2 (SG2) powdered stainless steel, which is exceptionally hard and thus ensures a long lifespan of the cutting edge. It is also not brittle when compared to other powdered steels with significant hardness. The outer layers of the blades are, in turn, made of soft stainless steel, which gives them flexibility. During the hardening process, they acquire a high level of hardness (62-64 HRC). Manually sharpened Takamura R2 knives with a hard core and thin blades provide comfort from the first use. What’s more, they have a handle made of red pakkawood with a full bolster, which is resistant to moisture and is virtually indestructible.
