Japanese Oire Nomi chisels are made by a master blacksmith in Miki City (Japan). In translation, nomi means chisel. These tools have two-layer and extremely sharp blades that have very high durability. The two-layer blade is made of White#2 carbon steel, which has been clad in soft iron. It provides maximum durability and exceptional ease of sharpening. The double-layer construction of the knife also contributes to increased durability of the cutting edge. The conical steel ferrule transfers the force of the impact to the blade. It is smoothly mounted – it is located between the handle and the blade – thanks to which it protects the handle from the risk of breaking, which could otherwise occur as a result of repeated impacts.
