Masahiro MV-L Gyuto 18 cm is one of the most universal kitchen knives, ideal for both professionals and cooking amateurs. Thanks to its characteristic, French shape, this knife is an irreplaceable tool for everyday cutting, chopping and portioning of ingredients. As a classic chef’s knife, it works great in many kitchen tasks. Its light construction ensures comfort of work, and the balanced handle allows for precise, rhythmic cutting, which facilitates quick and effective slicing or chopping of vegetables and meats. The MV-L series is a modern line of Masahiro knives, based on the successful BWH series. MBS-26 steel – molybdenum-vanadium, high-carbon and stainless steel – was used for production, which underwent a three-stage hardening process, reaching a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Thanks to the experience of craftsmen with over 30 years of tradition, Masahiro knives have achieved excellent sharpness and durability. The handle was created from Black Pakkawood, whose numerous layers were pressed under high pressure and temperature, creating a material that is extremely durable, resistant to moisture and water. Thanks to its smaller volume and more rounded shapes, the MV-L handle is ideal for people with smaller hands. In addition, the antibacterial coating makes it easier to keep the handle clean. Compared to the BWH series, MV-L has a thinner blade and less weight, which makes it more maneuverable and comfortable to use. Asymmetrical sharpening 80/20 allows for a thinner cutting edge, which ensures even greater sharpness and cutting precision.
