The Shapton Kuromaku Professional stone with a grit of #2000 is suitable for regular sharpening of kitchen knives. With its help, you can also finish and polish the cutting edge. One of the hardest and best water stones Shapton Kuromaku Professional works great for every user. Unlike competitive stones, they do not wear out so quickly and at the same time do not require such frequent leveling. They can be successfully used to work with such hard steels as R2 or ZDP-189. Thanks to the fact that Kuromaku sharpening stones are so-called “Splash and Go”, they do not absorb a lot of water, as stones of other brands do. This advantage directly translates into the comfort of use, because you do not need to soak these stones before use – you just need to moisten them. Before the first time, it is recommended to soak a new stone for 5 minutes. Kuromaku Professional stones are fast in sharpening and collecting steel. The stones wear down little, so there is no need for their frequent leveling. Kuromaku Professionals ceramic stones are created using carefully selected ceramic and abrasive materials.
