Takamura R2 Gyuto 210 mm is the most versatile type of kitchen knife, the equivalent of a Western chef’s knife.
The Takamura R2 knife series offers high-quality knives at an affordable price. Their core has been forged from R2 (SG2) powdered steel, which is known for its high hardness and long-lasting edge retention. The hardness is 62-64 HRC. The outer layers of the knife have been forged with soft stainless steel, which protects the very hard core and adds flexibility. The very thin blade of this knife, combined with manual sharpening, ensures the highest sharpness from the first use.
The handle is made of red Pakkawood with a full bolster – it is moisture-resistant and virtually indestructible.
